Antioche Kayak : Tour of Fort Boyard and stopover on the island of Aix

Antioche kayak offers you the opportunity to navigate in the most remarkable sites of our territory. Located in a Grand Site de France setting, we will discover one of the key places of this destination. The mythical Fort Boyard stands in the middle of the Pertuis d'Antioche, just a short paddle away from our base in Port Sud. In the heart of the natural marine park "La Mer des Pertuis", the emblem of the Rochefort region is impressive.
- After a meticulous preparation of the kayaks - two-seater with rudder - orchestrated by your instructor and nautical guide, we sail due west to Fort Boyard. Each beacon we pass gives us the opportunity to stop and explain the navigation and geography of the area.
With the help of the tidal currents, the fort slowly moves forward. Already, we are at its feet. Fort Boyard welcomes us with pride and reveals its contours that we approach until we touch its wall. Once the photo session is over, we head for the Ile d'Aix and its picnic stop - at least 2 hours - on the beach with a view of Fort Boyard, followed by a coffee break offered by your nautical guide. We continue with a guided tour of the fortified village of Sainte-Catherine or a relaxing session before re-embarking for Fouras. Depending on the weather conditions and the stamina of the participants, we may or may not do a complete tour of the island. A collective decision will be taken at the appropriate time.
The choice of the stopover is made according to the tide times in order to optimize the help of the currents at the time of your registration.
Please bring a picnic lunch, water and a change of clothes.
