Fountain of La Rouillasse

The use of the ferruginous waters of the Fountain of La Rouillasse seems very ancient. Begon, the intendant of Rochefort, recommended it to his contemporaries.This building was rebuilt around 1817, mainly with stones engraved with grafitti of boats. During the Revolution, the operating of the fountain was revived by the new owner of the noble house nearby, which gave a new fame to this spring until the 19th century.
