Saint-Germain de Beaugeay Church

The small church of the parish of Saint Germain de Beaugeay has undergone considerable alterations. It was probably built in the 11th century, but only a horseshoe-shaped double nave supported on two massive pillars flanked by engaged columns remains from this construction campaign, which were preserved when the horseshoe-shaped nave was built a century later. During the 13th century, it was enriched with a Gothic choir and two transepts. After the Wars of Religion, the church underwent extensive work. Its façade is topped by a combed bell tower.
