Gwen Cahue on guitar and Baptiste Bailly on piano make up a singular duo, fusing jazz, world music, classical music and film scores. Their eclectic, lively repertoire leaves plenty of room for improvisation, in a refined, dreamlike style.

The first, a guitarist without frontiers and a well-known figure on the international gypsy scene, took his first steps in music by exploring the repertoire of Jimmy Hendrix, before reproducing the solos of Django Reinhardt. The second, a seasoned pianist, began his career in Spain, where flamenco still inspires his compositions today.

Gwen Cahue and Baptiste Bailly are both motivated by the ambition to create a rich and singular music around the piano-guitar duo. With Storyboard, their first album together, they combine sensitivity and lightness, ease and care. All in a language of great clarity that doesn't get in the way of spontaneity. A sign of a fruitful collaboration, most of the compositions were written four-handed, and were it not for the differences in timbre of the acoustic guitar and the piano, you might have thought they were a single performer. Carried along by a chiselled dramaturgy and a cinematic imagination, each track transports you to a fascinating and soothing elsewhere. To be listened to without moderation!
