Festival: Un week-end bien Loti (on the theme of the writer Pierre Loti)

For its 2nd edition, the ‘Un week-end bien Loti’ festival is organising a major popular and participative celebration, a few days after the reopening of the Maison de Pierre Loti, from 13 to 15 June 2025. This year's theme is Loti and Asia, in conjunction with the House's Asian rooms, which will be open to the public for the first time. Starting on the Friday evening, a huge Asian festival in Place Colbert will pay tribute to Pierre Loti's Chinese festival of 1903, when all Rochefort residents and visitors will be invited to dress up in Asian fashion. An even more varied programme will punctuate the weekend, with strolls, street theatre, meetings, exhibitions, workshops, plays, dances, parades and competitions, all free of charge and all linked to the evocation of Pierre Loti and Asia.
Numerous schools, sports and cultural associations, dance and singing classes are involved in this wonderful project, which is inclusive and accessible to all.
So we're going to pay tribute to Pierre Loti by organising a big, festive, popular weekend!
