Screening of the documentary: Narcisse Pelletier, shipwrecked aborigine

At opposite ends of the world, Hubert, a cartoonist based in Marseille, and Stéphanie, an Australian academic based in Sydney, discover the existence of Narcisse Pelletier.
Hubert was looking for a maritime subject for his next graphic story and was investigating how to give life and shape to his new hero. Stéphanie abandoned her work on a French geographer from the Age of Enlightenment and redirected her research to find out more about the shipwreck, the tribe that took him in, and the conditions of his repatriation to Europe.
These itineraries give rise to a reflection on our civilisation and the history of the Aborigines, while highlighting our society's inability to consider a de-Christianised man or an Aboriginal tribe serene.
