Simon Mauclair's theatre regularly brings text, video images and music together on stage. With Nos Paysages, which uses the same artistic grammar, he is pursuing his quest for a work rooted in the political issues of our time.

With Nos Paysages, which uses the same artistic grammar, he is pursuing his quest for a work rooted in the political issues of our time.
For several months now, he has been portraying people in video form, criss-crossing France to meet people in situations of personal or social fragility: a visually impaired young woman, a young man suffering from addiction, a detained father, a child removed from his parents' care...
Each of these privileged moments is now a ‘landscape’, made up of personal accounts, memories, sensations and images filmed in the real environment of each person. Two new portraits will be produced in Rochefort to coincide with the show, into which they will be incorporated. We will discover the life journey of a high school girl suffering from Charcot's disease and of a child supported by a medical and psychological centre.
On stage, to immerse us in these life stories projected onto a panoramic screen, Simon Mauclair invites two musicians to create the original live soundtrack. In the intervals between the filmed sequences, an actress evolves within a light installation to open a parenthesis, bring in literary resonances or the point of view of the show's creator. A deeply moving exercise in humanity.
