Women in the spotlight: The Crib and the Drop of Milk

At the end of the 19th century, Doctor Variot created the Goutte de lait. Jean Geoffroy, known as Géo, a native of Marennes, was its official painter. In Rochefort, the Goutte de lait was founded by Doctor Burot; the infant care centre no longer exists, but the building in which it was housed remains, still dedicated to the care of young children.
