Fouras-les-Bains, a seaside resort

The peninsula Fouras-les-Bains and its 5 beaches will be your haven in Rochefort Ocean ! Friendly and family atmosphere guaranteed!

Plage Nord, in front of you, you'll see the Bay of Yves, Chatelaillon and La Rochelle and if you turn around, you'll have an avenue full of villas of the Belle Epoque. In July and August This beach is equipped with a platform going into the water for people with reduced mobility. Play volleyball, register your kids at the beach club "Les Goëlands" or at the sailing school just nearby.

Plage de la Vierge, on a gentle slope with rocks, enjoy the view on the Fort Boyard.

Grande Plage, at the foot of the Fort Vauban and near the Casino, enjoy a swim between the ocean and the reservoir. Supervised in summer. On the seafront, relax on one of the terraces of a coffee shop while the children go to the Tintin club.

Plage Sud, enjoy this shady beach and sit on one of the benches to contemplate the panorama of the Madame Island posed on the water lika a confetti. Children can play at the Dolphin Club while you learn kayaking with Benoît. Stroll along the seafront... at sunset, it's magical.

Plage de l'Espérance, facing the Madame Island and Port-des-Barques, it is the best place for watersports.  

Ile d'Aix, beaches of the small island

Lounge in the warm rays of the sun on the many sandy beaches of Aix Island.

Plage de l'Anse de la Croix, southwest of the island, a stone's throw from the fortified village; a dip in the sea and lazing around are on the program of your day. While facing Fort Boyard, forget all about this beach nestled between the semaphore and the emblematic lighthouse and its screen tower. The beach is supervised in the summer.

Grande Plage, further north, near a succession of batteries, is a long beach of fine sand. Facing you, the Fort Boyard of course...

To the north of the island, access the Baby Plage and Plage des Sables Jaunes by a wooded area of maritime pines and holm oaks. Take a break, admire these coves and their crystal clear waters. East of the island facing Fouras-les-Bains, the Plage aux Coquillages

Please note that for you security, the Baby Plage and the Plage aux Sables Jaunes are prohibited swimming areas.

 

Port-des-Barques, beaches of this peninsula perfect for families

Enjoy a moment with your family on the beaches of Port-des-Barques, an authentic peninsula facing the Madame Island.

Plage Nord, enjoy the calm of this beach and the panoramic view on Fouras-les-Bains, Aix and Madame Islands. Small boats await your child at the sailing school next door!

Plage des Anses, south of the peninsula, bathe safely and at all times in the reservoir of seawater. After a session of sand castles, stroll along the coastline lined with fishermen huts.

Saint-Froult, a moment with nature

Plage de Plaisance, near the citadel of Brouage and the Nature Reserve of Moëze, take a break in the middle of a wild nature composed of marshes facing the Oléron and Aix Islands without forgetting the famous Fort Boyard !
