Groupe Noces has successfully taken up the challenge of talking to young audiences about migration, refugees and foreigners, simply and with a delightfully lively approach. The company has created a show for young audiences about the issues surrounding exile, giving the youngest audiences a better understanding of the images and words that surround them. It's a caring play that celebrates the tolerance of childhood.

Hichem and Marie have been inseparable since they met, sharing their darkest secrets in the playground. But how do you tell the story of everything you've been through? As a political refugee, Hichem tells the story of his journey, from fleeing the war to arriving in Europe. Accompanied by a text written and recorded by Aurélie Namur, a dancer and an acrobat embody the two children in an acrodance duet with movements as raw as they are virtuoso. Their dance exchange is complemented by Anaïs Massini's illustrations, giant drawings executed live by the two performers.

Choreographer Florence Bernad, already well known for her committed creations combining dance and text, is back with this luminous show, in which movement is used to tackle the issues of migration from a child's point of view. The colourful atmosphere and naïvely beautiful drawings shroud the tragedy in a veil of gentleness, providing just the right distance from the harshness of the issues addressed. An educational play, but never didactic, it tells the story of the extremes of a child migrant's life, and suggests ways in which children can learn to cope.
